There was a time when I worked as a Lower Division Clerk in the Ministry of Education in New Delhi, India.<\/p>\n
Later, I worked as a Data Entry Operator, wondering what the future might hold.<\/p>\n
Like many people, I had big dreams\u2014but I also faced plenty of obstacles along the way.<\/p>\n
One experience has stayed with me for many years.<\/p>\n
Early in my career, I tried to submit my r\u00e9sum\u00e9 at Oracle in India.<\/p>\n
I wasn’t even allowed through the front gate.<\/p>\n
At the time, it was disappointing.<\/p>\n
But looking back, I realize that one closed door did not determine my future.<\/p>\n
Instead of giving up, I continued learning, improving my skills, and believing that better opportunities were still ahead.<\/p>\n
Eventually, I immigrated to the United States.<\/p>\n
Years later, I joined Oracle Corporation, where I built a rewarding career that spanned 16 years.<\/p>\n
Along the way, I had the privilege of serving the Oracle community in leadership roles, including being elected Membership Chair of the Oracle Applications Users Group (OATUG) for two consecutive terms.<\/p>\n
I also served as President of the Florida Oracle Applications Users Group, working alongside talented professionals and helping strengthen the Oracle community.<\/p>\n
These opportunities taught me that persistence often leads us to places we once thought were out of reach.<\/p>\n
One of the proudest moments of my career came in 2016, when I was selected as one of only 24 delegates from the United States to participate in the IndiaSoft International IT Forum, an initiative supported by the Government of India.<\/p>\n
Returning to my home country as part of an international technology delegation was both humbling and deeply meaningful.<\/p>\n
It reminded me how far determination, education, and perseverance can take us.<\/p>\n
None of these experiences happened overnight.<\/p>\n
They happened because I refused to stop believing in my goals\u2014even when others doubted me.<\/p>\n
There will always be people who tell you something is impossible.<\/p>\n
There will always be setbacks.<\/p>\n
But your future is not determined by someone else’s opinion.<\/p>\n
Set goals.<\/p>\n
Keep learning.<\/p>\n
Work hard.<\/p>\n
Believe in yourself, especially when no one else does.<\/p>\n
Every person has unique talents and the ability to make a positive difference.<\/p>\n
Don’t allow temporary obstacles to become permanent excuses.<\/p>\n
Your current situation is only one chapter of your story\u2014not the ending.<\/p>\n
Keep moving forward.<\/p>\n
Keep believing.<\/p>\n
And never stop chasing your dreams.<\/p>\n
You are capable of accomplishing far more than you imagine.<\/p>\n
